Startup PH Training’s Why

Too many startups are failing. And too many are building things people don’t need. And that’s a problem worth solving for Startup PH Training.

It fills my heart to see founders figure out who their customers are, what they go through and what they need — then giving these customers a solution in a sustainable manner. And I feel like a proud grandfather whenever I see corporate teams affect their organizations with successful innovation.

And we want for more people to experience this feeling and succeed in their own journey.

Succeeding through Empathy

More startup and innovation journeys should and can succeed if they learned how to begin with empathy and learned how to try things quickly and fail fast. Unfortunately, that’s not the reality right now.

It isn’t anyone’s fault. The vast majority of students are taught to be employees. When you’re an employee, you need to unlearn what you’ve learned in corporate to succeed as as startup founder. Being a corporate innovator makes it equally difficult.

Teaching Failure

The educational system has also affected the way we see failure — it must be avoided at all cost. At school, we were taught that failure means that we didn’t learn anything.

In startups and innovation, failure is as normal as breathing. It’s a critical part of the process

The success stories we read and watch didn’t happen overnight. Entrepreneurs and visionaries failed countless times and were able to learn and rise from these failures.

The workshops we run in SPHT focuses on removing the stigma of failure. We teach founders to achieve success by using the fail fast, often and forward method.

We’re firm believers that the initial solution a founder can offer to customers shouldn’t be polished at first. The objective is not to impress (or sell!), the objective is to understand and collect feedback.

I’ve always dreamt of building a sustainable business that helps people and Startup Ph Training allows me to reach my goal. This business is something that I’m passionate about and this is what motivates me to wake up early in the morning. I’m also an extrovert and admittedly I enjoy meeting and interacting with a lot of people with different ideas.

I wish to make a dent in the universe but it will take time. For now, I’m extremely grateful my work is slowly making ripples in the community I wish to serve. Our vision is a world where more entrepreneurs succeed in their endeavors overall.
